Our Team:
Want some music? Oriana will find it! Oriana Hawley founded BlueBird Programs in 2024 to bridge the unnecessary divide between mutual aid, direct distribution, political outreach, progressive artistic efforts, and most importantly, music! You can find Oriana promoting our mission, reaching out to artists, running our socials, performing, and more! Alongside BlueBirding, Oriana is an improviser, violist, vocalist, organizer, and artist from Nebraska and Washington Heights, NYC.
Want a song? Azalea will write it! Azalea Twining joins BlueBird as a creative force of wisdom and tune-making that brings our shows to the next level! You can find Azalea lighting up the stage or working behind the scenes to help shows run, thrive, and shine. Alongside BlueBirding, Azalea is a composer, singer, and improviser from Virginia and NYC.
Want a zine? River is your librarian! River Smith does most of their work before Blue Bird concerts organizing and creating political education literature to be distributed, or after these events to help distribute the funds raised. River works with Bronx Jail Support and We the People to see that all the money Blue Bird raises goes to feeding, clothing, and supporting the people of New York City!
Sign up for our newsletter to get some fantastic updates written by one of our fav writers and musicians, Lea Singer! Whether it’s where BlueBird “nested” this month, or how much our “egg” of funds came out to, Lea tells all! When she’s not composing our newsletter, catch Lea on stage in her home of uptown Manhattan telling stories with her own excellent guitar and vocals.
